Elisabeth Pollaert Smith, a former international corporate lawyer, began photographing
seriously
almost
a decade ago. She has studied at the London College of Printing, in the UK, and
at the
International
Center of Photography,
in New York and New Mexico.
Elisabeth, a four-time finalist for Popular Photography magazine's "Your Best Shot" competition, and
a
finalist
in the World Wildlife Fund's, "Life Grows On" competition,
is represented by Getty Images
and
has taught photography in Mamaroneck, NY. She is a member of the Mamaroneck Artists' Guild and
the Southern Vermont Arts Center, and has recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay area.

Mamaroneck Artists' Guild in Larchmont, NY, where she presented "The Nature of Contrasts," and
"Art for the Man Cave."
She also participated in the
Larchmont Historical Society's "Day in the
Life of
Larchmont" exhibit,
in
Larchmont, NY, and worked with the Humane Society of Westchester to
present "Shelter Cats," an
exhibit to raise awareness of the many beautiful cats waiting to
be adopted.
The exhibit was shown
in Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Tarrytown, Scarsdale, Ardsley, Rye, Eastchester, Dobbs Ferry, and
Irvington.
